Work related to historic buildings has been the basis for his practice for the past 35 years, covering such properties as Beningbrough Hall, Studley Royal, Duncombe Park, Knole and several properties of the Landmark Trust. In recent years cathedrals have been his main concern, at Canterbury, Lichfi eld, Southwell, Wells, and at St Paul’s.
